CPR / AED BLENDED LEARNING

Heartsaver CPR/AED Online (part 1) is a Web-based, self-directed program for students seeking an alternative method for completing an initial or renewal CPR/AED certification. The program teaches students critical skills and knowledge needed to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives. Content includes how to perform CPR and use an AED.

Heartsaver CPR/AED (part 1) is the eLearning component of Blended Learning, this course uses a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, eSimulations, animations, self-directed learning, and interactive activities to teach students CPR/AED knowledge and skills.

After completing the online portion, students attend a structured CPR/AED Hands-On Session with an AHA Instructor. This session focuses on meaningful skills practice (part 2), when to perform CPR and the use of an AED, and skills testing (part 3).

Upon successful completion of PART 3 students will be issued the same Heartsaver CPR/AED card as if they had taken the classroom version of the course. This class is desirable because it allows the student flexibility to complete a portion of the course at their own pace.

This is NOT considered an online course.
